3 Mindset Shifts to Start Writing

Release Your Writing Doubt

You have had to navigate difficult experiences in which you’ve been told your writing is not good enough. In this episode, I help you untangle these moments to decide once and for all what YOU want to believe about your writing.

Speak the Hard Truths

Our lives are intertwined with others, and so when we begin to write we notice that often we are also sharing the stories of those who are near and dear to us. In this episode you’ll explore how you can do your story justice while still lovingly including those you’re most concerned about.

Claim Your Story

Stories change lives and yours is meant to do the same. In this episode we’ll dive into all the ways stories have shaped your life and how that made you feel. Then, we’ll uncover how your story is mean to support and shape the collective because people are waiting for you to finally claim and tell your story.

Hello my dear — I’m raquel

I may be a writing mentor, but I’ve been a writer much longer.

I’ve been writing since I was about 12 years old and I eventually followed my love of stories and words to three college degrees all culminating in a PhD in English. You would imagine that the path to those diplomas and degrees was wonderfully bright and happy.

Alas, it was not, I was often told my writing wasn’t good enough. I cultivated a strong growth mindset early on in my pursuit of writing because I wasn’t going to let anyone take away my love for the pen.

Now, I get to lend you these same mindset and energetic practices to support you in finally placing on the page what you’re meant to share with the collective. Let’s freakin’ do this, my dear. People are waiting to hear your stories!
